Second Day Added To Seedling Giveaway!

Due to the possibility of inclement weather on Wednesday, February 25, we have added an additional day to our annual Seedling Giveaway.

The second day of the Seedling Giveaway will be Thursday, February 26 from 4:30pm- 6:30pm at the Chappy’s Deli on Perry Hill Road.

Tree Planting at Carver High School

In December 2014, Alabama Power sponsored a tree planting at Carver High School.

The Carver student groups water the trees every week. They’ve been doing this for the past two years for the previous two plantings with Alabama Power as sponsor.

Voting Rights Trail Tree Planting

On Wednesday, October 29, scores of volunteers gathered at the corner of West Jeff Davis and Oak Street to plant 24 Forest Pansy Redbud trees along the Voting Rights Trail. The trees were purchased with a $1500 grant from Boise Paper in association with ACTrees.
