Did you know Montgomery has a Street Tree Master Plan?

Created in 2007, the Master Street Plan for the City of Montgomery is a “how to” manual for street trees.

It covers proper street tree selection and placement, depending on if you are residential, commercial, or historic, as well as depending on the type of street.

For Montgomery Trees purposes, our Take Root program uses private funds to purchase and install street trees, working with the Urban Forester and following the Street Tree Master Plan.

In short, the Street Tree Master Plan is a guide to be used by the City, public and private developers, and property owners for the selection and placement of street trees along major corridors, thoroughfares, and neighborhoods within the City.
